Name: Chinemere "Chi" Iregbulem-McGrath
Hometown: Brooklyn, NY
What’s your class really like: Challenging, supportive, unpretentious, body-positive, fun. Our time together is a break from the day; for 45 minutes my 5 rules are to work hard, work smart, have fun, like my music (and love me ;)
What’s your music vibe: I love music so I play almost everything, in any given week I may go from Beyonce to Burna Boy to Britney. My favorite genres are afrobeats, hip-hop, and pop.
Favorite part about class: Everyone is so CHILL. We all come to have a good time and sweat, and I love being the riders' cheerleader!
Life beyond BYKlyn: I'm VP of Marketing at pocstock, a media content platform changing narratives around people of color through stock photography, videography and illustration. In my (very limited) spare time, I enjoy being active and spending time with family and friends.
Anything else you want us to know: I am big on pop culture, so I like to sprinkle in a little bit of gossip in between hill climbs hahaha

What’s your class really like: Structured, high-energy, and rhythm-focused, with long hills and fast sprints cued to the music. I strive to teach to all levels and offer modifications for first-time riders and experienced cyclists alike; we’re all here to sweat, bust stress, build strength and endurance, and—most importantly—have fun, together!
What’s your music vibe: I try to keep things varied, with at least one proper throwback and one new song per ride, usually a mix of dance, pop, rock, and—let’s be honest—emo.
Favorite part about class: I love the final sprint—when you think you’ve put everything you’ve got into a ride, but then the beat drops, and you find the energy you need to pick up that pace or crank up that gear one last time.
Life beyond BYKlyn: I work in the media relations department of a major animal rights organization and love vegan food (tell me your restaurant recommendations!). I live in north Sunset Park (or “Greenwood Heights,” as realtors will tell you) with a great partner and one excellent cat.
Anything else you want us to know: I am a karaoke and piano bar fanatic. What I lack in skill I make up for in enthusiasm.

What’s your class really like: An assortment of hills and drills set to music curated by one of the best awkward teen mix tape makers!
What’s your music vibe: Like a good antipasto, a little of everting.
Favorite part about class: Helping people achieve goals they thought were impossible.
Life beyond BYKlyn: Again, like an antipasto
Anything else you want us to know: I once appeared on the dating show “Change of Heart”

What’s your class really like: I’d say my class is uplifting and supportive. I like to inspire and motivate you to feel and be your best no matter what your day is like. I enjoy making jokes or talking about some of our favorite artists and music.
What’s your music vibe: Music is my life! I enjoy everything. You’ll hear some Rihanna, Beyoncé, *NSYNC, Drake, and even a mix of EDM & House music.
Favorite part about class: We’re truly a community of strong humans who encourage and motivate each other.
Life beyond BYKlyn: Fitness is my life! Outside of BYKLYN you can always catch me outside training for marathons or in the gym lifting weights. I do enjoy the casual walk with my dog and night out exploring the city and it’s great food it has to offer.

I’m always going to authentically be me and encourage you to do the same.

What’s your class really like:My class is a quirky, judgement-free bike party where we work hard, push past perceived thresholds, and talk about TV. Each week is a different focus or theme, from endurance and hill drills to high-intensity interval training. I tend to focus on 3-6 minute drills in most classes, with the occasional long climb every now and then. I will always encourage riders to challenge themselves while also noting that the word “challenge” means something different to everyone. Sometimes that’s sitting out an interval so you can rock the next one. I’m real, my riders are real, and not a single one of us is better than the next. Except maybe Carly Rae Jepsen.
What’s your music vibe: Carly Rae Jepsen + the occasional angry lady
Favorite part about class: Getting to know riders. Byklyn customers are FASCINATING.
Life beyond BYKlyn: I'm an editorial director at Peacock TV and completely obsessed with film and television. I live in Carroll Gardens with my husband Evan, step-daughter Alice, dog Annie, and soon-to-be son :)
Anything else you want us to know: My favorite movies are: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Fargo, and Beetlejuice.
