What’s your class really like: My class is a hip-hop/r&b show on a bike -jamming to your faves that you want to rap out loud to while you sweat! I'm energetic, sassy, demanding (in a productive way) and loud - I'm your class clown meets drill sergeant meets advocate rolled into one. I'm here to challenge you to challenge yourself to push beyond your limits, create new goals every time you clip into that bike, and remind you that working out is supposed to be fun! If you walk out of the studio breathless but in amazement as to where the time went, I've done my job!

 

What’s your music vibe: Hip-hop is my religion, so 85% of my playlists consist of it. I am also a disciple of ANYTHING 90's, reggae/dancehall/soca as well as keep a fiery mashup or throwback on my playlists to drop when you least expect it, but need it the most!

 

Favorite part about class: Watching folks add more resistance (and not give me a "fake turn") as soon as I cue it, without questioning if they can. I also LOVE seeing clients progress - I can tell when someone who has taken my class improves in their form and/or resistance, and I always let them know that I see that work!

 

Life beyond BYKlyn: I teach at other gyms as well as train clients via my CrysWillFitLife lifestyle brand. I am also studying to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy, so that I can continue using movement as medicine - but with all populations! I am also a loyal and devoted sister, aunt and friend, and I travel every chance I get!

Spotify: If you know me, you know that I am very anti-Spotify, for more than one reason. I put a lot of work into curating my class playlists, and don't believe in sharing them with the public (they can come to my class to catch the vibes!) However, I am more than willing to allow my students to take pictures of my playlist, and I'll even e-mail you an mp3 of a song you really liked that is hard to find if you ask!

Anything else you want us to know: I am very much addicted to Tik Tok and Reels, so if you see something funny, please send it my way!

30 Cycle + 30 Strength is a class that is a great gateway to sampling or conquering both of our primary class formats. If new to BYKlyn, new to either one of these formats in general (cycling or strength/conditioning) or if you're looking to shock your body and add variety to your current fitness routine we recommend this class. We begin with a condensed ride on the BYK deck followed by a half-hour full body functional strength training in the front gym utilizing dumbbells, battle ropes, Pilates circles, sand bells and more. Workouts vary from class to class and can consist of solely strength training, or a combination of strength work and bodyweight cardio exercises.
 
Although not required, having a pair of cross training sneakers handy to change into while transitioning to the front gym is HIGHLY recommended!
