This is a 45 minute Pilates Mat class specifically designed for new moms/parents. The emphasis is about rediscovering and strengthening your pelvic floor and core postpartum and beyond. And it's also about building strength and posture work as you carry and lift your new bundle! Expect a mat class with your baby next to you but not involved in the workout. You'll work on balance, stability, stretch and strength with equipment (magic circles, blocks and Pilates balls). You will go at your own pace and baby interruptions are par for the course. Our Pilates Instructor, Alicia Villarosa, has extensive experience and education with prenatal/postpartum Pilates and more than 20 years of experience coaching and teaching Pilates.
