Hometown: Floyds Knobs, Indiana (outside Louisville, Kentucky)
What’s your class really like: Structured, high-energy, and rhythm-focused, with long hills and fast sprints cued to the music. I strive to teach to all levels and offer modifications for first-time riders and experienced cyclists alike; we’re all here to sweat, bust stress, build strength and endurance, and—most importantly—have fun, together!
What’s your music vibe: I try to keep things varied, with at least one proper throwback and one new song per ride, usually a mix of dance, pop, rock, and—let’s be honest—emo.
Favorite part about class: I love the final sprint—when you think you’ve put everything you’ve got into a ride, but then the beat drops, and you find the energy you need to pick up that pace or crank up that gear one last time.
Life beyond BYKlyn: I work in the media relations department of a major animal rights organization and love vegan food (tell me your restaurant recommendations!). I live in north Sunset Park (or “Greenwood Heights,” as realtors will tell you) with a great partner and one excellent cat.
Anything else you want us to know: I am a karaoke and piano bar fanatic. What I lack in skill I make up for in enthusiasm.
